We are working on two online offerings to help support those new to the UNIX^® operating system, and those wishing to expand their current level of knowledge:

• Web-based tutorials, which will enable users to get to grips with the main commands and tools, and to understand the ways the operating system can be used.
• A weekly 'Tip Of The Week' email newsletter, which will provide useful tricks and tips ranging from beginner to expert level. When subscribing to the newsletter, you may select to receive any or all of: Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, Advanced or Expert. You will receive tips from the categories you select on a weekly basis. The newsletter will also contain details of any new features that have appeared on the web site in the previous week. A searchable archive of the newletter will be kept on the web site.

Both offerings will be free of charge. The tutorials are currently partially available, the tip of the week newsletter is still in development. To be notified of when either or both are complete, please fill in the form at the bottom of this page, so we can write and notify you.

Although we have only a very limited part of our tutorial ready to publish, we have decided to publish it as individual pieces become available. Please bear with us - we are working on this as quickly as we can! The currently available tutorial segments are listed below:
